TINGLING At times I wish that I was numb inside. At times I wish I was hollow. But as the pendulum swings side to side, So emotion seems to follow. Taking one extreme unto the other, In mind, in heart, in soul, in vain. At times I think I can't take another - Night in this hell, this hole of pain. And so I fall into her temptation, Lured by promise of pure remiss. Never giving into contemplation, I answer the call of her kiss. There, held comfortably, within warm arms Finally feeling love, pain subsides. Smiling up at ever beguiling charms, Watching as reality divides. To my right is the rage of a screaming train, The left, only a swollen track. On hot rails to hell in a dreaming brain - I'll crash and I'm not coming back. But was I really so grieved, I believed - The seductive needle's lie true? Funny, that small pain tingling in my vein - Is my last reminder of you. LOL Awesome, my fellow Dark Lord. Again, a challenge well met and tinged with humor too. That makes this one even better. ------------------ Life is pain is poetry, at least I'll be productive. DreamEvil© [This message has been edited by DreamEvil (edited 09-02-99).] |

Tingling? Yes your work does that to me! Wonderful! Isn't it great to get challenged and find out you can rise to the occasion so beautifully? |
