walking down these dusty roads,
just around the bend.
i try so very hard to find,
if there's a means to an end.

it appears that there will never be,
the end is not in sight.
friend or foe that comes with me,
shall face the black of night.

i freely choose the path i take,
not knowing where it leads.
i alone must cross the bridge,
to face my worldly deeds.

i pray you never come this far,
my trusted, faithful friend.
my journey answered only this,
there is no means to an end.
