the wind whistles down emptey corridors long deserted dinner halls echo laughter long lost a single brown autumn leaf lands gently on a cold desk staying only a second it carries away on a gentle breeze the voices of the dead Pictures old In tatters hang on rotting walls old ghosts look on Yellow walls old smoke telling Parents and children All part of foundations As all around ghosts of memories phantoms imprinted on ancient glass Never reep Natures keep all alone the dead don't sleep ------------------ Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace, of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd |

As all around ghosts of memories phantoms imprinted on ancient glass Love this Mr Poe ------------------ Love is an attempt at penetrating another being,But it can only succeed if the surrender is mutual. |

The imagery!! I loved this Walter. You could do a poem of the whole house like this, memories in the little girl's room etc. Wonderful!!!!!! ------------------ The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Great poem, Walter. Indeed, the dead don't don't sleep. Michael |
