I'm submissive, I hang my head and say, I try every day, But at the end of the day I'm still alone, No matter what you say. The hurt it doesn't fade easily, It still rears it's ugly head, I'm struggling to overcome it, Haven't I already said? Desert dreams, Midinight musings, My soul is crying out, But it still seems to me, I'm not doing the abusing. Shredded heart with open sores, If only they would heal, And we could find our peace again, The baying dog wouldn't squeal. In my city of clouds, You are the pirate ship, Circling, ever circling, Brandishing your whip. My dreams and words, Slip into oblivion, And I risk losing all, Me......... ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |
