Element of fire,
Spirit of light,
Essence of life,
Awaken the night.

Awaken in me a heart overflowing with love,
Open my eyes to the beauty I see,
Allow others to understand my real self,
Allow a world of loving to enfold me.

Let me see beyond this mortal realm,
A journey of truth and discovery,
My wish is to understand our souls,
My wish is for the vision to really see.

And in this learning then perhaps I'll understand,
Perhaps I'll lead my life differently,
And then, maybe then,
People will see and understand me.

I humbly ask to be understood,
To have one to share my soul's intamacy,
Like what I had with my father,
A look is all they would need.

My spirit is longing to be known,
To find one who truly can see,
See my secrets, fears and longings,
And finally share all with me.
