I look upon the withered face, creased with the lines of age. The sparkle gone from the eyes, the hair the color of sage. The strength that once lined the jaw, fades beneath the folds. The voice quivers, trembles, and shakes, the speech no longer bold. The body now so frail and lean, looking hollow, empty inside. Limbs that once were virile and strong, now barely make a stride. The hands that once could shape and mold, that had the grip of steel. Now disfigured, bent, and knarled, no longer has the feel. I am drawn to him, compelled to be nearer. The image of the man i see, is locked inside the mirror. me. 11/15/99 |

I really like this major....great read,,,I have seen those same images...kinda scary to see that staring back at you though. Waiting to see more. ------------------ Deverone "We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out". ----Ray Bradbury--- |

Gracious piece, mojar...I often wonder why the old man I see in the mirror still has the burning eyes of a child. Michael |
