Always the warrior princess, I endlessly battle on, Battling for my soul or friendships, So many sadly gone. Do I love too much? Do I care too hard? I seem to frightened people away, I always draw the wrong card. Perhaps this IS what is meant for me, Letdown after letdown? Any trying only makes things worse, The permanent facial expressions a frown? My soul may be becoming a burden, A cross too hard to carry, My sins are seeming to revisit me, I can't help it that I worry. I feel alone, Like the clown in the circus, A skimming stone, With a heart of pus. ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |
