I died a little today. |

With death these mortal eyes shall seal, And that will still my throbbing heart, Future generations might know, And they will share in what tore me apart. She opened a path for her fury, She would not spare them this day, She was now judge and jury, For their lack of thoughtfulness, their sins, they would pay. I lay among the dead, Like the slain that sleep in the ground, Who are they? That they can live and not see Death? The death that is all around? I felt like an owl in the wilderness, Like a screech owl among the burnt out lands, My heart declines, And lay shattered amongst the sand. Give me a rest from this my misery, 'Til a pit is dug for the lonely and sad, They will all go there eventually, Their deaths reflecting the life they had. For I will open my mouth in a parable, And expound the mysteries of my past, But will anyone even listen? As those few mourners file past? Future generations must know, I withered away like grass, For there was so much they didn't care to know, My heart was not merely glass. ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

I think it went very well my friend. I can not write dark, I always have to have that light shining through. I think it is because I need that hope in my life or I will just wither up. Great job my sister. |
