Though the time of my end draws nigh, I want to run, run and hide. For he comes like the light, a wraith hidden, in the blackend blight. Mortis is comming, comming for me... As I wait, shell alone, My older frame I can't let go... The thought shrivels everything I know, I hate that bane that comes for this soul.. That burns more than God could ever know... Mortis is comming, comming for me... Now alone...and I cannot be.. that wrathful vision haunts me... Marking, making me his own Hunting my vitae with a vengence yet unknown. with visions of the night that will never end.. Mortis is comming, comming for me... Bed ridden and hopeless, must I submit? this wicked ender of fate cuts me.. binds me, blinds me,..hates when I feel.. searching for all I was.... and cutting away all I could be Mortis is comming, comming for me... Black my vision makes, his icy grip I feel stealing my lung's work I am drifting..alone.. found among the end.. Wow.....the last stanza really makes ya think. Great poem. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |
