Melancholy grinds me to my bones And proffers the lyric of my moans Sweeps joy and love to a freefall pit Wrecks lasting peace on a rocky spit Wonder lost, I'm hypnotized Dread and fear are realized Tripping over Hate's vile form With nothing on to keep me warm Surrounded by the cares of life Preoccupied with icy strife There's naught but grief to fill my days And wrap me in a brutish haze There's no escape for such as me Except for sleep 'neath darkened seas. 10/29/99 Much gratitude to all for the inspiration to break my block. All that's left is to sweep away the debris. This one is a start. My first newling in over a year. ------------------ He soils the sanctity of that which is perfect and wonders why he is shunned by all. [This message has been edited by D.B.
