Hatred seethes through my mind,
darkness caressing my brains.
Anger edging its way into my soul,
and rebuke takes his place at the helm.

Silently waiting for love's touch,
I sit in the agony of deaths clutch.
Patiently doting on hearts need,
I bathe in the filth of horror's seed.

Benevolent mind cast mindlessly aside,
malevolent spirit joins the raucous ride.
Mere humans cannot fathom my depravity,
nor sink to the depths of my sad gravity.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

bathe in sin, be cleansed and repentant only to yourself. Feed the darkness all the wonders of life, sow the seeds of a brighter day and nurture the flowers of love and light.

"Hatred seethes through my mind,
darkness caressing my brains.
Anger edging its way into my soul,
and rebuke takes his place at the helm."

I used to feel this way once upon a time,
when I was a teenager. I was a ball of brooding fury, but there has to be a balance
between light and dark. You can't ride the Carousel of Despair forever you have to try the other rides like the happy tea cups or the roller coster of love.

an intense poem, enjoyed this alot.

"Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time".

Then work came and made us free
What price now for a shallow piece of dignity"
Nicky Wire, A design for Life.

"Rock 'n' roll is our epiphany
Culture, alienation, boredom and despair"

"To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."

E.E Cummings.

JP

Everyone who´s really been depressed knows what you´re saying here...

Like the athmosphere you build up...

Ask me how to live your life, and this to you I´ll say: make your choises true and wise, so that when tomorrow will arise, you´ll smile at yesterday...

Yes I have known this to.
you will find a light that will pierce the darkness one day, grasp it and use it as a sword of your soul, fight your way out, become the light.
love your expression in the second stanza.

"Silently waiting for love's touch,
I sit in the agony of deaths clutch."

God I have been there.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
