Lost, turning endlessly in nothing. Syrup minded, lethargy and sloth slowing the soul. Absence creating a labrynth of my heart. Passion's deflated retreat leaving want. Inspiration on my periphery won't come. Desperation seethes mindlessly yet impotently. Poetry the saving grace waits patiently. (Note: Hey y'all! It's been months since I have been around - hopefully some of you may remember me. I hope I can post some work of value that will explore my absence, get me back on the right track... How can someone successfully write a poem about writer's block? What sublime irony! Uta Lotharingia "Wir wollen nicht Wert und Sinn ... wir wollen Unwert und Unsinn" Raoul Hausmann |

Thanks all for the kind words. I am slowly regaining my poetic footing - though it is damn hard to create inspiration. I suppose I just need to put my nose to the grindstone and write whatever until a glimmer of something salvagable floats to the surface. Okay... back to reading... Per Poet de, I have thousands of posts to catch up on. Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. JP |

Poetry the saving grace waits patiently. A wonderful poem, I agree it "is damn hard to create inspiration" though it appears more than is created. It has certainly arrived for you and given you the power to write this wonderful poem. ------------------------ "I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else"-Richey Edwards "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "Libraries gave us power Then work came and made us free What price now for a shallow piece of dignity" Nicky Wire, A design for Life. manic street preachers "Rock 'n' roll is our epiphany Culture, alienation, boredom and despair" "To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." E.E Cummings. |
