we met in the middle of nowhere a throaty snarl a gleam of your green eyes you lowered your body to the ground ... stretching your coat gleamed and dappled in the sunlight with a flick of your tail you decided to let me live and you slunk away |

This is lovely. I love animals too, both the fierce and the placid ones. I like the way your speaker shows no fear, only admiration, and the perfect way you conjure up the image of feline behaviour. Thank you Uta Lotharingia! A friend painted me a beautiful picture of a tiger and a kitten, depicting what the kitten wished to become when he grew up! While I was once again admiring it, the tiger in the picture seemed to come alive (I'm sure it's eyes gleamed!), and I came up with the tiger poem! I'm glad you liked it. |
