Ode to William Wallace Part I In a time long ago, A man would fight with his foe. Blood would be shed, The loser, left for dead. This is the way it was to be, Until a man came along, almost magically. He was a smart man indeed, And knew what the world would need. A man he would never harm, For that was the rule of life on the farm. From his father he did learn, Until he was placed in an urn. His father died in an epic war, And his heart was forever soar. Until one faithful day, When he met and angel, some would say. When their eyes met, they knew it would be, The start of a never-ending unity. They had a love not known to man, Until the day, the cowards ran. The next day he road into town, To find his wife slain, in their wedding gown. Vengeance he did declare, And to fight him, no one did dare. He gathered his country men, Freedom he assured them, they would win. The next morning they set out, And covered the country side all about. As the kings men grew near, The countrymen began to fear. Outnumbered it did seem, But that was his marvelous scheme. As the knights and swordsmen charged, He stood as steady as a barge. When they saw the whites of their eyes, They raised the spears, and watched as the enemy dies. A battle they did win, But the story was just about to begin. By Necro Draconis Let nature guide your soul. |
