You’ll never know when you slept How many times I said, I love you and now whisper to the dark. You’ll never know when you slept How many times I caress your body gently running my hand across your slender frame and now the pillow I hold tight. You’ll never know when you slept How many times I leaned over to catch the fragrance of your hair and now some article of cloth you wore You’ll never know when you slept How many times I ever so gently kissed your bare shoulder that is now blown to the night wind. You’ll never know when you slept How many times I’d lye awake hoping to catch your first eye opening, and now stare at the wall. And you’ll never know when you sleep tonight How many times I stay a tear wishing you were here with me. for W. D. Joel. ~Joel,...so glad I'm the first to reply to this. Get my two cents in. My gosh,...this is just beautiful. Really,...how many times can I say that about your work...but honestly this here is probably my favorite. It's perfect...it's so real. Mmmm,...yes...I love it. How very sweet to love so much as to find joy in watching her sleep....and doing each of the things you described. Perfect. Truly. *Bravo* Take care. |

I think it's so sad that things keep us from saying what we really feel. Oh, okay...I know yoou can't just go around saying any old thing that pops into your head...but words like this are treasures, meant to be shared. |
