"The Labyrinth" I walk swiftly through endless corridors Searching for a grain of hope But each door I try is locked. A scream lies lodged Terrified of the thought Of never escaping Trapped in a labyrinth With no certain end in sight. |

we are all but rats in a maze constantly searching for out of this place the door is locked the deck is stacked left or right you can never turn back All we do all we see the maze is run Then suddenly the end we see The open our enemy we fear what we see It is over eventual all we are free "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!- Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted- On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore- Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!" Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." |

How true these words ring now for me. You seem to have put my searching of hope in a few great lines. A desperate hope within a labyrinth running a race with time, for me. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Joel~ I hope you find what it is your searching for, and I hope I do too... This poem was written from two aspects~ one, my search for peace with my past, which has finally come... two~ my search for love which is appears is a neverending ordeal... I'm glad you were able to relate and see yourself in my Labyrinth... Cyndey |
