In a country of democracy based on hypocrisy and politics fought only for personal wealth Beatings and slayings that happen everyday go on without dismay criminals that walk away Our children we raise amidst all these dismays They observe and they learn and we are shocked at thier ways |

Birdy~ Too much truth here. But, we have to keep trying. Great thoughts to ponder. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

~A slap of reality that so many choose to not see...to never acknowledge such corrupt behavior. Blind, lost souls...living in a fairytale world. As Marge said,..we HAVE to keep trying. It's all we've got. I have to say that I truly enjoyed this piece,...as it brought on much thought...which is always good. *Peace. |

Very true! Sadly it is like this across the world, at least in my part of of it. Change starts from within, with just a single person, and it grows from there. Not all those who wander are lost. ~J.R.R. Tolkien |

Blue, Eagle is right it starts at home, with one, I have done my part with the kids I've helped through the years. Your poem is so true. and a very good observation. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
