indifference? indifferent most of the time, often at rest. but, always with one eye open. coiled, ready to spring, to attack. claws and teeth bare, green eyes flash. and she begins to stalk, never wavers then suddenly, she pounces. claws like razors, slice, dig, break the skin of my resistance, injecting the germs of doubt, loathing and fear. which begin to fester, until the balm of your love once more heals the scar. |

Your indifference tramples around with a deadly strike, kid I hope the one that heals you is in your trust and safe keeping. I like this poem very much, I wrote one some time ago called "Passionate Beast" My kitty was bigger, if you can find it? Should look. Joel I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

thanks isis and joel, my namesake kitty, sheba, planted the seed for this little poem. one night she was teasing her brother, stryder, and i was having some doubts about someone whom i care for very much, and it grew from there. sheba |

I love the way you expressed this, great work! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

Hi Sheeba, I don't know what age you are but I know those feelings. I know what it is like to have doubts about osmeone you can about, when I was becoming a teenager I was carrying a lot of anger from my youth (from being bullied at school) and I was only just coming into my own and releasing the pain. I had quite a temper and over some time I began to feel distant from my mother, it went on for quite some time, but as I began to gte some sense and find peace in myself we grew closer together. a powerful poem, I hope that those doubts can be laid to rest. Really enjoyed the poem. ------------------------ "I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else"-Richey Edwards "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "Libraries gave us power Then work came and made us free What price now for a shallow piece of dignity" Nicky Wire, A design for Life. manic street preachers "Rock 'n' roll is our epiphany Culture, alienation, boredom and despair" |
