The Shell Not as in with a person or without. But the solitude within. That eats the hollow shell of the human. Slowly the deteriorate from within. They scream but no one hears. They try to open up only to be pushed in the shell. They maybe in there but it is still hollow. Now they suppress themselves in never to open. Feeling it a waist to try. They seem full and together but they are truly hollow. With a part that is most important left to decay because of its emptiness. |

You have described the shell I'm walking into now. great expression. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

yes i agree...great expressions of "the shell" most of us poets experience...great job...keep it up... ashley "Falling in love is just that - falling. Sometimes you merely trip and stub your toe. Sometimes you fall to your hands and knees. But sometimes you smack your head against the pavement and die." |
