Thats the reason The old man Heart of heart bitter murderer Real father beater of children father of lies future in tumour Real mother drinking meths hurting herself make you pay Brother criminal Cruel and vindictive killed that girl no repentance Sister RIP Drugs Drink Ending head in sink Body in ground What is future we ignore virtues we leave hope we are alone As we disintergrate In the parks In the playground In the cresh Hear the screams Of the past As we treat Out of Eden "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!- Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted- On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore- Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!" Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." |

Walter, disturbing images here in this dark piece. yes, so much of our childhood stays with us and can haunt us. if we leave hope behind we are alone. hope is the little glimmer of light that shines in the darkeness... and in all of your poetry. take care my poetic friend, jm It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

~This poem woke me right up!!! Wow,...well done here. It is so true that we are products of our environments...but as you get older,..it's only as much as you let it. *Hang in there...thanks for sharing. |

Yes we are the products of life before, but we are more, we can make our own path, and beat back the bushes. you have a powerful poem here keep up the good work. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
