The silence speaks but I do not hear I don't want to listen to its words of fear The silence speaks but I do not hear For it may tell me the one thing I do fear The silence speaks with words that can harm Where once it always spoke with words that charmed The silence speaks with words that can harm But now the words that are spoken cause me great alarm The silence speaks only in my mind It hides from me the answers I seek to find The silence speaks only in my mind And takes my heart and puts it in a bind The silence speaks, but oh my love not you You've left me hurt, confused, unsure of what to do The silence speaks, but oh my love not you Speak to me my love, and please tell me true ------------------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Very touching poem, Sven. It does indeed say it all. I hope she hears those words soon...for her sake. Such a heartfelt plea...how could it be resisted? Excellent writing, my friend. |

It is hard to "hear" the silence, it often tells us the opposite of what we want to hear....or at least in my own experiance |
