Sometimes I remember how it used to be when the thought of you catches up with me Sometimes I remember how it should have been and my mind drifts away to way back when Sometimes I remember and the tears I freely cry left with one word in my heart -a question- Why? ~Sea~ A bittersweet poem to read. I understand all too well how it feels to remember, and wonder what could have been, only to be filled with regret and pain. Some of the saddest words in life are the words "what could have been" or "if only." Well written!  Take care, Melissa Honeybee |

SEA....It hurts like hell when you remember what was and think of what could have been. So sorry you feel this way. Hang in there....it will get better in time. Great poem. |

I just wanted to thank you all so much, this poem came bubbling up out of my heart while I was trying to write another, I just didn't know it was there till it came out, then I knew that it describes how I've been feeling lately. Marilyn~ LOVED the reply! Thank you! I have been soooo busy helping my parents move and finishing up my kids school year(they are out on May 26th!!!) I have a lot swirling around in me right now, I'll have to get pen to paper and see if my muse wants to come out and play. -SEA |
