Hello All, First of all I must apologise for my lack of comment lately, I am a single parent so I get little time on the net these days. Usually just enough time for a post and a quick look before I collapse into bed . Hush little girl, For Daddy is near, I will always protect you, From the things that you fear. ~ Forgive me the times, When I seem far away, When you bubble and chatter, ‘Bout events of your day. ~ The times I seem distant, And life rushes by, Its not I don’t care, Nor even don’t try. ~ When the morning is over, And I’m into the day, The mem’ries flood back, Of the things that you say. ~ ‘Tis then I remember, The things you have said, When the sleep and confusion, Clears away from my head. ~ It’s then I feel sad, That the moment passed by, For the loss of that moment, I just want to cry. ~ Sometimes I forget, In the rush and the run, Weary from the effort, To be a dad and a mum. ~ I know you are healthy, Kept warm and kept fed, But you cry for your mum, Alone in your bed. ~ Life gets so busy, And time passes by, But there is no choice, So we’ll just have to try. ~ I dream of a day, Of a fam’ly complete, When the chaos had ended, Life is ordered and neat. ~ When our hearts are all filled, And we just don’t mark time, When we all can forget, And leave this behind. ~ So hush little girl, Your Daddy is near, You share in my dreams, So walk on without fear. Slow Down, stop to smell the roses and stroll through the garden of life, it will be a more pleasurable experience. I think of you always Honey XXXOOO. |

Well she's only seven years old at the moment but I hope I can show her this poem one day to let her understand that I understood. Thank you so much for all your comments. Paul |
