You said that you would always love me. You said that no one or any amount of time could ever change that. You told me that I was the love of your life. I slipped in my stupidity. Stumbled in my blindness. Wandered, no, ran away from you. Afraid of your words and their meanings. Not seeing that what you spoke was gospel. Now, in hindsight it's all so clear. WE should have been forever. It's too late for us. In our brief meetings at your place or mine it's all so obvious. I look in your eyes and all is gone. I've become an occasional fling to you. A quick lay. Every trace of the love that you had for me is gone. You ask me if it hurts to be with you this way. I say no. I know if I tell you the truth it will be you who turns to run away. |

~Kristi...great post. Sensed it was straight from the heart,...I especially liked the lines "I slipped in my stupidity and stumbled in my blindness"...I've done this...too many times and for too many reasons. Hope all is well with you. |

Kristi, no need to be nervous, this is a big welcome from me, and yes spitFire had a point your poem is from the heart as most here, we travel through the corridors of hour hearts and frustrations here, you will fine all kind words, and open hearts, So at ease, On your poem it is wonderful that you can put on to paper so to speak your feelings, it will move many to tears, but that's not bad, they wash the soul and cleans the spirit. No I'm not the official greater, but just another chambered heart. Joel. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

So many new relationships must fail because of doubts and fears, a lack of trust, or lack of commitment. I am experiencing those feelings right now in a relationship. This is a very nice description of some of those feelings we experience while in a relationship and after the relationship has failed. James |

Wonderful Post kristi. Joel and Spitfire are correct. This is from the heart...truly a wonderful one. Poems that pour emotions and take the reader through those feelings are the best. Don't be nervous around here, everyone is friendly, hope to see more real soon Daniel The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Welcome! Wonderful emotional filled first poest. There is indeed no need to be shy around here, we are indeed the family of friends, we all are here for each other. All here to write, better ourselves etc. and be friends. Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do! Isis A heart and soul are not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |
