ALL MY FAULT

Tell me it's all my fault,
I really need the blame.
Cast all your guilt on me,
Please, brand me with the shame

Cast my bleeding heart salt,
God, how I love the sting.
I need this fervently,
Yeah, another wasted ring.

No attention to truth,
Na, gut wrench me with lies.
Oh to be browbeaten
By that look upon your eyes.

The torment of my youth
Holds not a light to this,
A brain slowly eaten
By the worms of loving bliss.

Sure as Sanity crashes,
To that Reality train.
Life, come to a screeching halt,
Throws all dream to the flame.

But I'll sit and sift the ashes
For all Love I know is pain.
Yeah, please just tell me it's my fault,
You know I really need the blame.

Michael Anderson

For all behind was dark and drear,
And all before was night and fear.
How many hours of night or day
In those suspended pangs I lay,
I could not tell; I scarcely knew
If this were human breath I drew.

oh michael.  just keep hanging on to that piece of light in your lap.  just so you know, finding the blame lessens none the pain.

Gotta go with kynder on this one.  Though she put it better than my ramblings would have.  The scars may disappear, but the pain is always lingering somewhere close by.

sometimes we need to hear that its our fault, because that way we feel we can fix it somehow...but all that is really is a never ending cycle of pain. Wonderful poem

take care

Maybe it's no one's fault... maybe it's fate.  Loved the poem, Michael.

I often go out of my way to have this finger of blame pointed at me. It's a feeling I'd gladly put above the other. Loved this!

Joel, Indeed - I think I am a magnet for those steel chains...LOL

Satiate, Smile, I love you!

kynder, So true, maybe that's why I don't mind it landing on me... kinda let's me feel important...LOL

kittyj, Indeed, the pain NEVER goes away.

Broken Wings, something are irrepairanle by nature me thinks.

Christopher, You sadist!! How dare you come in here and laugh at me!!  Just kidding bro, I knew you'd appreciate this for what it really was...LOL  Hey, kick me once more - I NEED the abuse!!!

Hope, tears, and renewal, 'Tis Fate, indeed, but then Fate has never been a friend to me.

James, why take 1/2 when you can have it all, besides no one else seems to want any.

HelenaJ, Amen.

AVANTI, it's always someone's fault.  Usually the responsible party refuses to step up is all.

X-Angel,  I know you can relate.  Where've you been anyway... I missed you.

Thank you all for the gracious replies.

Well....this was either written for me, or for Sondra! Either way, it rocks, and I KNOW it's my fault, so feel better, will ya?  Getting something through your head is like inserting needles into steel!  Argh!  They just freakin' bend!!  I'm laughing here, because I don't think you hate me, you're just venting.  I'm ok with venting...really.

Why is it anyone's fault? Blame on it fate.
It's fate's fault

Michael~
I can relate, yep give it to me one more time because it's always my fault regardless. So I keep on accepting that.
Michael you've got a beautiful soul and we love you for it.
