EVERYTHING BUT YOU Yesterday, you gave me red roses so sweet and sang to me a love song, but, I was yet to feel with you complete. Today, we walked along the shoreline, barefoot, hand in hand, and gazed at the vibrant sunset as the ocean caressed the golden sand. Tomorrow, you plan to take me away to a far off exotic place, and promise to cherish me for all time, while you wear a false smile upon your face. Here we are, with you reading beautiful poetry to me, quoting lines fom a sonnet by Shakespeare, knowing what I want to hear, you've given me all the romance and excitment that I have always dreamed of, but, I have yet to see into your soul, to capture your heart, or to hear those beautiful words "I love you." Here I sit, with you by my side, alone, with everything, but you By Melissa Honeybee |

To give your all to someone, and them not open their hearts back, and being with this ?? someone, can be the loneliest spot on the planet. this is a good way to put it. Thanks. Joel.< !signature--> I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. [This message has been edited by Joel the wolf (edited 04-16-2000).] |

I agree with Joel, along with the many things in life that throws us into the darkness feeling confused, lost, lonely and scared..this is one that makes us go crazy.i wonder why some people do this, act as tho they give us their all but in reality its an illusion. Well Done! take care *HUG* Broken Wings "As you learn and grow, you will realize the greater the pain, the greater the growth." -IYANLA VANZANT |

I agree with joel! Some people will never understand the simplicity of love. A woman I work with said somthing to me the other day that I think you'll be able to appreciate, "It's better to be alone than wish you were!" Great piece! Helena The words that come to me here fail me elsewhere. Mute. Made dumb by my own thoughts. Tonguetied and awkward. Tripping over my own voice. A pen and paper for my voice. HelenaJ |
