Mania

Transfixed by the momentum of infatuation
powerless to break the bonds
held fast to the yardarm
straining to tighten the shackles

Gravity couldn`t hold a candle
to the power you have over me
not of this earth or any other orb
no hope to be free

The moon moves the oceans
as your beauty moves my heart
feeling the tidal surge of something larger
whole not a part

Nature can`t be turned
to satisfy the needs of mortal men
the mother in her fury
liberties defiant she defends
allowing sane such men
glimpses at creatures untamed
knowing full well the vision brings madness
to those not worthy to attain

But if a choice must be made
to be carried away by the dementia
or live your days with no clue to the nature of want
let mania rule

This is great, I can't begin to say.
It hit my nerves, my heart, and my soul.
To me this is a mournful howl.
and a great expression.
Joel..

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

I shiver at the thought of someone having so much control over ones soul but it is an awesome rush. Excellent Poem!

You have physically moved me. When the chills have subsided I will read it again. Truely exquisite. With men like you and joel around, the female race is sure to be in trouble!

The words that come to me here fail me elsewhere.
Mute.
Made dumb by my own thoughts.
Tonguetied and awkward.
Tripping over my own voice.
A pen and paper for my voice.
