Locked inside ad pounding its way out,
my broken heart beats furiously.
Memories of you infect my brain.
I miss you,
and these black tears are expressing my sorrow.
Drowning in this possibly self-inflicted misery
is killing me.
I want to see you,
but I know that the cold harshness you'd greet me with would not ease the pain.
I despise myself for needing you, an unfeeling shell,
to love me.

"Memories of you infect my brain"
so many nights. Sigh.
Strong, Good.
Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Uh Huh, I can relate well to the "I hate myself for loving you" I see in this.  Good poem.
