Strands of light on my bedroom floor, Change my life through an open door, I'm awake, but this is not my home, Once again I'm all alone. Night descends again as we know it must, Now all fantasies have turned to dust, Without those fantasies what have I got, A life decomposing, my world starting to rot. I feel it too, can't pretend that I don't, Fears, cold and alone, no comfort in sight, Hoping and praying for someone who cares, Always alone and going nowhere. Missing friends, things are sour, Oh dear God what happened to my power, The power of loving who and what I can be, The power of seeing the good in me. The strength sometimes wavers, I doubt all that I've struggled to become, Why do I feel this way? Ready to explode or come undone? It's my turn now but no one sees, It's time to be a little selfish and focus on me, To put myself first and foremost, Hey! Get off me, I'm much more than a leaning post! I too need to be told how special I am, Just like everyone else, I need to feel love and comfort, And maybe then I won't always feel so tense.. There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

~Isis~ This is how I feel alot lately, It's like your the only one who will listen at times to everybody elses problems but noone wants to listen to yours. I think it's because your their support and that if your having a hard time then they wont be able to off load onto you. Well thats how I feel and I'm sorry your feeling that way, I agree with you that sometimes we need to say "Hey, I'm hurting to" or "I've got something I need to off load". Hey Thanks LeeSabina and Tracie! Yes you both got it right, they all lean on me and when I need some support or an ear, no one is in sight!! Tracie, where are you Down Under, I'm in Brisbane? Isis, this poem touches me...im sorry your feeling so taken for granted...it is the worst feeling, I know... you are so special and always there for all...take sometime for your self and enjoy who you are, not be burdened by it. love ya, jm ...when you walked into the room, I saw their faces, you made it feel like time was standing still...and I felt fascination... then you turned and smiled in my direction... and my heart...gave me away. glass tiger |

Nice poem Isis..I went thru something like this recently and I decided I needed to take care of myself...and my mind was stuck in the place where I always wanted to take care of someone else and now that I'm thinking differently it is the wierdest place...I don't know exactly how to describe it. I think it's like now I don't feel needed. James |
