Sitting here
Aware
It's the stench of death

A death I sometimes fear
A death I sometimes welcome
A death I could choose
A death forced

Intuitive thoughts
Tell me it is near
Tells me I have no choice
This death will come my way
I'll have no say
It can be today
It can be tomorrow
How it will come
I do not know

But I feel it's cold reality
This death could be in peace
This death could be in violence
It tells me it will not be pain free
I know it's sting will be felt

This death I feel even now
Has taken hold of me
I know not the hour
Only of it's certainty
And it's power

Death and taxes two certainties in life.  I know what you mean though, like if the soul dies the body does too, and you feel the soul dying so it won't be long...  Am I right in this assumption.  Well written
