NIGHT < !signature-->Silence, darkness, emptiness, rain, Thunder raging, a passing train. The epitome of graceless dwelling On a life most unfulfilling. The lonely night, my only friend. Forged in the darkness on the wind. As passion plays in monotone, Songs of silence, again, alone. My heart it beats, however hollow. Empty as thought from a mind so shallow. Senseless as the touch that cannot feel Come to these calloused hands of steel. Emotion raining down a thousandfold, A desire to be loved turning me cold. In these storms of life, so unforgiving. In this life I'm not sure that I'm living. Michael Anderson For all behind was dark and drear, And all before was night and fear. Emotion raining down a thousandfold, A desire to be loved turning me cold. In these storms of life, so unforgiving. In this life I'm not sure that I'm living. ------------------------ Storms of black, dark of night... these too bow down with the morning's light. Pain numbed hands and hearts once again to feel... in thy hand...thy poets pen shall heal. jm M, this is a perfect example of why you are the ruler of the dark...next to loneliness in the dictionary...this poem should be found...you have defined it with your usual grace. Michael, you can never be lonely. You have too many friends. Your broken heart will heal and YOU will find the woman of your dreams (I've just turned psychic LOL). Besides if all else fails there's still Rose Red *wink* much love ~X~ |

Janet - quite a compliment there. Sincerest thanks to you. demonic~angel, I'm so glad you liked the poem...but i never meant to make you cry... X-Angel, well i must be doing something right to lure an Angel, (Even an X-Angel), down her to these realms of Darkness... Aiden, waiting just plain sucks and I gave up searching long ago. Wow, that was VERY well written. It made me feel every moment of your poem. Took me through your night and reminded me of my own. Poetry is about capturing emotion, and you definately capture emotion and the moment in that poem. |

As passion plays in monotone, Songs of silence, again, alone. So much I would like to say about this poem,,but seems that others have said it far more eloquently ..l can only echo their praise...
