In the middle of the night
Your voice speaks to me out of a brilliant light
Calling to me like a beautiful siren's song
Comforting my heart across this distance long

To your melody I add the harmony of my heart
No need to tell me the words, I know where to start
I have sung this song all my life, it seems
This is so wonderful, it can't be real, it must be the stuff of dreams

My eyes begin to flicker and I awake
And that's when my heart begins to break
For instead of sharing with you my song, my own
I awake to find that I am very alone.

oh sven this ended so sad...but the sentiment is beautiful... I bet I know the perfect mistress to sing you a sweet lullaby
take care, jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...
baby can I hold you tonight...

i love the imagery in this poem.  the allusion to the sirens, the musical melodies and harmonies, i can almost hear it myself and then i feel that awful ache of loneliness when i realize i was dreaming right along with you.  beautiful yet sad...wonderful.

Yes Sven I too know the wonderful comfort that internet friends provide and also the longing to be face to face in their presence. James

Dear Sven, It's nice to know you love my voice and my singing that much hon.  It's nice to know I can still effect people so with music alone

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......
