Storm clouds gather in an ever darkening sky,
Clouds mass and bubble as on the altar I cry,
I cry for days gone by and dreams unrealised,
I cry for a life and soul unfulfilled.

No one there to comfort me,
Opressed, shattered and fearful,
I cling to shreds of reality,
Longing for a world and life more meaningful.

Then, in the distant sky,
I hear a blood curdling cry,
And I see a flying apostle from hell,
He is death's messenger and he is ringing the bell.

A flying black dragon,
With eyes blood red,
Here to deem my sentence,
I cower, cover my head.

Straight from the jaws of hell,
He came for me,
I beg, plead and cry,
Try to atone.

And the storm raged on,
Like the storm in my soul,
Who could save me,
Who would take control?

Time too fleeting,
The beast he savaged me,
And as I felt my life blood and love drain away,
I knew I'd become one with whom the devil plays.

No more sunshine,
No more rain,
Eternity in hell,
Only myself to blame.

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

Very powerful Isis. . . I had to read it twice to make sure that I understood the imagery. . .

I do believe that this is one of the best things that you have ever written . . .

Considering where you were - hell ain't looking so bad - YIKES!!!  Powerful images here, Isis.  A wondeful depiction, indeed.

Very good poem, I like the way you write.  But nobody deserves the darkness and pain of hell.  But if paints a vivid picture, I really liked it.  Much love, One love, PEACE

Isis, I think this is the darkest poem of yours I have ever read.

"Then, in the distant sky,
I hear a blood curdling cry,
And I see a flying apostle from hell,
He is death's messanger and he is ringing the bell."

Wow!

Isis this is fantastic.."And the storm raged on like the storm within my soul" but of course I can only hope that the storm will soon become calm and beauty will come back into your life.   Take care, hon.   James

whoa......! This was the darkest of yours i've seen with these tired eyes, i have to agreee with that. But the story and imagery were so great. I am a sucker for a poetic story.
No more sunshine,
No more rain,
Eternity in hell,
Only myself to blame.

Tres bien...
