NIGHTMARE!

There I lay, ever endeared.
Alas, all in life once feared.
In perfect calm, now swept away
To subtle shade of yesterday.

Magic musing in the thought
Of all I loved in life for naught!
Form hell's lifelong captivity
A spirit now forever free.

Pain left behind, I grace the sky,
On new found wings of death I fly.
To rise above a world condemned
Of would be loves who called me "friend".

A specter of blackness portrayed,
I come to you in visions frayed.
To lay my palm cold to you chest
That never again, may you rest!

Lo, by every dark dreaming night
Shall wings of this demon take flight.
Upon Sanity's walls I creep
To steal all peace that comes by sleep.

To feast upon your bleeding soul,
To break you of all self control!
Forgiveness bless the fool who dare,
Lo, for the rest - Call me Nightmare!

Michael Anderson

For all behind was dark and drear,
And all before was night and fear.
How many hours of night or day
In those suspended pangs I lay,
I could not tell; I scarcely knew
If this were human breath I drew.

Lord Byron

Sad Michael, but no sorry I couldn't call you a nightmare, but a little piece of heaven here on Earth.  When will you believe that?? *hugs*
I'm online now so Icq me my Liege..

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

i have been visited by this demon of which you write. but, not once did it speak so eloquently. so it couldn't have been you.

Very, very good Michael...but just as they have said...I don't think that you could ever be called a nightmare. Atleast not by me.

I choose to call you what I always call you...
amazing...gifted...talented...awesome...
poet extraordinaire...
(tell me when you want me to stop)
take care, jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be
