I can’t believe it’s all over now My life has passed me by And I wonder how This is what I get for wanting, I’ll never do that again The ticks of the clock haunting, And I wonder how All I ever do and all I ever dream Turns to dust in my hands Or so it seems Happiness is a false promise Life is short and full of lies But there are things that I miss No more comfort in your arms Or your kiss Life fades away Soon to end Then this all won’t matter So why do we care? Life slips away Soon we end And nothing will matter So why do we care? (I'll stop posting now.) |

We care because we are humans. And I don't think there is any other reason than of that, very simply. And when we come to death I hope most people would care that they lived their lives. Enjoyed your poem, JML! Joy |
