Through the years I've tried and tried No longer am I satisfied With showing you how it should be And how to live more humanly The love you have you never give It amazes me how you can live With yourself so dark and cold Will you be this way until you grow old How much more pain must I endure To have you love me and insure You'll make me happy all my life And be with me as my wife Do you miss me I can't tell All the while I live in hell You act as if nothing's wrong Although you're not where you belong I work so hard and toil all day To come home and still have to pay The dues that life has cast upon me Are wearing me down but you can't see In anger and sadness I now wallow For it's my heart that I must swallow Broken too much throughtout the years Drowned in pools and pools of tears Why oh why can you not see The person I have inside of me Because in your world you must dwell While keeping me in my personal hell You taunt, you tease and you flaunt But what you have I don't want A love so callous and so stale It is my heart that you impale No longer shall I rest with thee No longer will you be with me For it's my love that you forsake Now it's a love you'll never take G. you deserve to find someone who can see you and appreciate who you really are - hope you do someday. |

another excllent expression GA... and great flow and rhyme..you should give this to the person who evokes this in you...let them know...you done wasting your time on them. great job. ...there are places inside all our souls... that have never been touched... there are places inside our hearts... that need to be loved this much... This is so sad but beautifully written. I too hope you find someone who loves and respects you for who and what you are.. May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

very nice. it kind of reminds me of great expectations, where estella keeps pip at a distance and hardens her heart around him so she can continue to hurt him. excellent work. jannel "I'm just saying that we've mistaken one for thousands of words, and for that mistake I've caused you such pain that I damn that word." -10000 Maniacs "Jezebel" |

Let me start by saying thank you all very much for reading this. I wrote it quite some time ago, a few months after my second wife had left me when she was pregnant. I tried several times to put things back together only to be thwarted at every turn. So I wrote this and I did give it to her. It brought her to tears, but still accomplished nothing other than airing my feelings. The love poems that some of you may have read that I have posted were also written some time ago for another woman who I made the mistake of falling in love with. She too ripped out my heart, stepped on it and threw it away. I no longer believe in love now a days and that can be seen in my more recent works which I have posted here. Who knows, someday maybe I'll learn to love again and be able to write about the light side of love. But until then, I will remain as a dark poet. Thank you all once again. I'm sorry I made this responce so long, but I thought some history was in order to put things into perspective. Take care all. G Regret not that which you have done, Rather that which you haven't |
