~A Friend In Me~ She looks back at me... not knowing what to say. Once again we meet like this, nearly the same time as yesterday. She seems unsure of herself, I don't think she feels at ease. She looks as though ... she'd like to go, speaking so softly, I cant hear her pleas. I don't know why she's here, or what she wants with me. Yet, here we stand face to face... hoping for a sign that we both can see. I feel as if I know her, like I have met her, once long ago. There is something familiar about her... like a well kept secret, only I should know. She says she'd like to be my friend-- if I would just let her be. Trust like this...I don't do well... its always come hard for me Maybe if I ask her... I could try and invite her in. Perhaps I could even learn to like her... she is my reflection, my Gemini twin. Janet Marie When you look in the mirror... Wish you were somebody else Just a perfect reflection You and no one else... Minutes run into hours Hours run into days You're still waiting for someone Who never ever came... Go and run through the hallways Find your way to the door You will end up like always Back where you were before... Then you look in the mirror Wish you were somebody else But it's still your reflection You and no one else... Guster |

I figured that was where you were heading, don't ask me how?? haha..good guess Isis...so your a poet and a detective as well...(smile)well, I was hoping it was somewhat subtle...did'nt want it to be too obvious who "she" is??!! thanks,(from both of us,LOL)  glad ya liked it janet marie |

janet, *hugs* i think we all have friends like that. and i agree with michael in that i had no idea where it was going. but i did like this one. very good work.  Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel is just a frieght train coming your way... MetallicA |
