Devoid of All????

Mindless days and nights,
Spent in subserviance,
Devoid of emotions,
What caused this restlessness?

Looking for things that are not there,
Be they good or bad,
Venturing out from the cowardness,
No security to be had.

No comfort, no haven,
No rest for the wicked they say,
No peace, no tranquility,
For wrong doings you have to pay.

Well I paid my dues,
And paid dearly,
Left with a soul that always wonders,
Too many broken dreams can damage one severly.

So what is waiting for me,
What joys or horrors await?
Lonliness, pain and sacrafice?
I've had all of them I can take.

I'll just continue to wander,
A living mindless entity,
Till someone can show me the truth,
That I am indeed in touch with my destiny.

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.

Lonliness, pain and sacrafice?
I've had all of them I can take.

Loneliness Pain and Sacrifice....
We all have had our turns at those emotions.
To feel them is not being devoid...they make us stronger. Nice depiction Isis.

Isis strikes again! Yet another great one, especially since I can relate...are you a mind-reader? It seems you put into words exactly what I'm feeling now. It just won't seem to go away...great poem!
