People Surrounded with a pointless aim To be the best of the best Perfectionists remain the same Dacing around in an ego fest Keep pushing me to an edge Below are the horrors My feet reach the ledge In this midless error I walk a path no one dares venture In its vengful ways So much rage in this adventure Is what my inner soul says People remain people, that's the sad part For they do not know any better They always think of an end, not a start Death is the end of thier letter So many ideas in thier mind that never stop to sing Some of them stupid in thier aspect Holocaust, World Wars, Crusades are the thing So why give people so much respect Evil ones admire The innocent put for life In a cell, never for hire Building up so much strife Sure there is light, good people exist Few in the many of society But it seems as though we've dissmised Them for the taste of viarety People remain people, an ever living truth So what's to exepct in the long run C'mon, it dosen't take a slueth Just look at our daughters and sons "We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness. We have multiplies our possessions, but reduced our values. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life." |

one thing i think you said that is a really good point "sure there is light, good people exist." we cant forget that ever. no matter how many bad people there are there are always some good, and even great ones out there. your poem is kinda an awakening to the hell that our world is becoming. awesome!! |
