hi yall i wrote this poem for a really good friend before i moved. i never got a chance to give it to her. but i owe her my life. if it wasnt for her i might not be here right now. it was the first poem i ever wrote. i havent heard from this girl in around 12 years. hopefully she will see this and contact me. so paula if your out there, this one is for you. hope yall like it. FRIENDS FOR LIFE She is a real friend Someone I will never forget We've been best friends Since the frist day that we met I know all her secrets And she knows all of mine She's the only one I trust And I think thats just fine But I must be leaving town now Thus I'm leaving her But I never will forget her Thats for certain sure She will always hold the key That will unlock my heart The pain of me leaving her Is like being shot by a dart But I never will forget her No matter how long were apart Because she will always hold a special place Deep inside my heart... Jesse, this is SO sweet and great...and its a wonderful tribute to your friend...and to friendship everlasting...how wonderful that this was your first poem...the first moment of inspiration and the gift of poetry given thru friendship...  Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme, They are not measured by the commitment of time. Some emotions run too deep to be described by words, Forgiveness and understanding- remain the most beautiful words ever heard. Janet Marie |
