On The Brink My apologies To all For I've not been sane, here, or there I've faltered along the way, Gotten lost in forests dark and dim I've not listened to the calling For my return home Loosing myself in the thick air, Thick leaves, Bark branches srcaping my forehead Not enough for blood to pour But drip onto my lips Tasting faintly of foilage- Mostly of sour bitterness. My apologies to all I've let down While consumed in my own deranged world Maybe, though, I'll come back later To tell stories of the brink And let myself replenish All I missed... When I went away. |

Joy, this is very beautiful, emotionally and visually. It decribes how we feel when we become lost inside our selves, or thats how it makes me feel anyway...(smile) Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme, They are not measured by the commitment of time. Some emotions run too deep to be described by words, Forgiveness and understanding- remain the most beautiful words ever heard. Janet Marie |

Beautiful Joy, you have a way to make your pain and suffering seem beautiful. Well done Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Wonderful poem, Joy. It almost seemed so flowing, that I got wrapped up in it myself. ^_^ I enjoyed this one very much. DayDreamer "You can't change anything by just sitting back and looking at it."~Cloud |
