      Corner
I sit curled in a corner
Surrounded by walls of your words
   No way to escape
No way to hide or run
   Just shut into a corner
I watch the cold words move in closer
   Closing my eyes
   Telling myself to be brave
The image gets worse with every breath
   Every sigh and thought
Feel as though your stabbing me
Over and over  with the icy steal blade
   Of your heart

very emotionally descriptive poem,
sometimes anothers words do hurt us like this, and inspire us to write about it too.
very good work. janet marie

Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-
remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

The words that I heard the night I wrote this were the hardest and saddest words I had ever heard/said. For saying good-bye to my first true love was the scariest thing that ever happened to me...Thank-you Janet Marie

I too have been pushed into that corner you speak of.  There are two things that can be done, both take courage.
1.  Quietly stand up and walk away..
2.  Find the strength to fight back, not with screaming or accusations, but a few well chosen, quietly spoken home truths.  Both ways are winning ways.
If you need to talk hon, please feel free to email me anytime.

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.
