Stop the World...I want to get off

If the world would stop
Spinning long enough
I would get off the ride
Just in time
To throw up
A little to the left
Of the ticket taker
Just next to the small
Green plastic bucket
Where cheap
Kitty litter resides
Anxiously awaiting
The opportunity
To soak up the
Liquid contents
Of my soul
And disguise my
Vile reality
Which would become
Overcooked
In the mid-day sun

A very descriptive picture of the overwhelmed
feelings that we all get from time to time. Sometimes we need to get get off the speeding roller coaster and slow down awhile, in order to get our perspectives back, or our balance. Nice work here.

Hi-
well the first time I read it I thought it was a very disgusting poem. but after much thought I realized how true it is. Life can be disgusting sometimes and unfortunately we can't just stop the world get off and empty our stomaches. I wish we could though. Of course where would all the bad stuff go?

The title intrigued me first of all, because I have thought of stopping the world and getting off too. After reading the poem, I could definetly relate.

I think it's pretty true to life too. Sometimes I feel I could disappear completely into the green bucket and no one would even miss me. Well portrayed

This is a great poem!! I wish I could find a way to stop...I think that everyone would get carried away w/ the stopping and the world would fall apart. So mabe we shouldn't fin the stop botton on the world...
