So you say I'm your anchor... the weight that holds you down. You walk around always angry, seemly unaware I'm about to drown. You resent and deny me, you say I keep you from your dreams. Yet I'm the one who picks up the pieces... the fallout from the failure of your schemes. Never realizing or recognizing, Never giving credit due. Everything is about your plans... Everything is about you. Well, I'm tired now- I'm broken, I just don't care... I have dreams too. You never ask, its just not fair. So call me your anchor... Your ball and chain. I don't hear you anymore- I'm deaf from the pain. Janet Marie |

Sad commentary of a relationship, undernourished, very well written, sounds like someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee. |

Janet, a very good translation of a very familiar feeling. I hope you'll be "you" again soon. |

This person with the hard heart will break you down unless you break away. You don't need this. I enjoyed the line "call me your anchor...your ball and chain." Does it feel like that right now? I ask because sometimes I write about things that happened to me many years ago, or I wrote it many years ago and just posted it. Opps, also enjoyed "I don't hear you anymore...I'm deaf from all the pain." Take care, James |

Janet Marie, You are the anchor, I am the impenetrable fortress wall. Tis hard to carry everything this way. I assure you I know. If you need to talk or whine or vent, email me hon. (HUGS) Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |
