My words fall upon deaf ears My visions are cast before blind eyes My caress is lost touching numb flesh My warmth is devoured by a cold heart I feel no comfort only pain I see no sunshine only rain Could it be I've gone insane Knowing my efforts were all in vain Sadness falls through drifting tears Madness calls for years and years A soul grows cold with nothing to show When drowned in the depths of the misory of woe My life drains like sands in a glass My spirit weakens from the strain My flame grows dim in ominous night My voice can no longer scream I feel no joy only sorrow With no time left and none to borrow Time's ran out with no tomorrow That will free me from this sorrow How many cruel tricks will life now bestow Upon this old heart there's no way to know I wish to now leave I really must go Yet I seem to be trapped in the misery of woe G.A. Don't worry everybody, I'm not that depressed. These are just the words that popped into my head. Let's just say that this is a rather "Dark Passion", ya know. ) I hope you like it. G |

The way that you discribe the emotions is absolutally wonderful....I truly enjoyed this from begining to end. ...and the following reached out and grabed me right from the page......WONDERFUL!! I feel no joy only sorrow With no time left and none to borrow Time's ran out with no tomorrow That will free me from this sorrow There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul... a-alibaster |

Thank you all, I'm glad you liked it. I sometimes think that maybe I'm too much of a dark poet. I wish I could write love poems again, but sadly I'm no longer inspired in that area. Hopefully I'll find love again some day and be able to once more write about joy instead of pain. But for now these are the only thoughts that are coming out of me. I can't let them get me down, but I have to let them out. I'm so glad to be here because I couldn't have found a better place to do just that. Thank you all again and take care. G Regret not that which you have done, Rather that which you haven't |

No light pours in through tainted glass This love of woe has come to pass Though darkness grows with every hour My heart does seek the one with power To shine through darkness baring light Who fights for me with all their might Who's love is true and stong and sure Who loving look is all the cure and though I wait and though I look What sun does shine upon this book? It pages old and worn and sad But inside all will make you glad You took a chance to look inside For all the wonder it's love will provide But many looked for just one page Some saw two but didn't gage The life there hidden in the words The life they sought amoungst the birds Where song is sung and joy is near But they just couldn't fight the fear And so the book with aged face Forever waits there in it's place. I am not sure where this came from Greg but thanks so much for inspiring it. I have not written since the poem I posted in here last week. It felt good to let the words flow and create themselves. When you are old and grey and full of sleep, And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shodows deep; How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true, But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face... Hey this is inspiring and I think some of your best work to date!!! You should be really pleased with this hon!! At last I have heard the song of enlightenment.... In your heart you can hear it now, if you listen.... It is the song your spirit has been singing since the moment of your birth. All lasting victories are won in the heart.... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Yes dark indeed my friend, you do have a knack for it now, but as some have said it will change. And for the better. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Munda: Thank you so much. I hope you're right. Some things have changed for the better but I'm not quite at the place that I wish to be. At least I now know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks again, wish me luck! Marilyn: WOW! I inspired that? Thank you, I am truely honored to know that I actually inspired someone else creativity. That is a great piece and should be posted in it's own right. Thank you again. Isis: Ya, I am pretty proud of this piece. It still brings tears to my eyes when I read it. Thank you again. Joel the Wolf: And thank you my friend. I know that in time everything changes. Some things for the better and some for the worst. I've been through the worst and now I'm seeking the better. Thanks again. G Regret not that which you have done, Rather that which you haven't |
