damaged goods all the pain that your hands ever created all the scars that your tongue ever seared I buried, one piece of me at a time. I forgot, but not forgave. and now there is more of me forgotten than is left to remember and the unforgiving blackness has eaten me from the inside out |

damaged goods--i have so many times myself felt the same way... but remember damaged for only a moment. someone is out there waiting to restore you..God has a special way of preparing us for the one you were created for.. keep up the good work.. |

this poem hits home for me as well, I have learned that being able to put these emotions down on paper is very theraputic and helps heal the scars...I hope you find the same in your writing. This is a deeply personal and beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing it. Janet Marie |

pain is a way of saying "don't do that again," and scars are our way of remembering the pain. but focusing on the scars is self-destructive. forgiveness is so important, because hate is a selfish emotion that only hurts you in the end. you write feelings very well. i especially liked the searing tongue and unforgiving blackness as images. Pain an ever circling crow from omen waiting to descend on you. Felt this way myself. Well done, good imagery. Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |
