Scarlet gently drops Into a chalice of white A contrast of worlds Dark blending with silver hue In a swirling mirage Pain softly caresses The touch intoxicating Beauty created in misery The suffering almost sweet. I revel within the night To shallow thoughts, ignorant Wanting to embrace eternity Without false hopes To throw me from the path Of anguish I wish to tread For life is not true Without the blood of my soul Present within my tears. The crimson laced chalice Reflects the tattered image Of a broken soul Forever sealed from dreams I embrace my hopelessness Like an immortal lover Feeling the flower of my being Crushed by my own doing Lost am I Within the melancholy Of my wanted solitude. *Krista Knutson* ~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack, Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare, Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water, Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha |

I too have spent many a night with my friend misery. Lucky for me I've had real friends, like yourself to save me from him. ![]() ![]() ![]() In flames I shall not be consumed, but reborn. -- Abrahm Simons |
