TORMENT I stand at the gates of Hell peering up to Heaven Through the tears in my eyes I see only you But the chains that bind me keep me imprisoned And pull me back into the fiery abyss With a scream from my soul I submit Hoping that at least you heard my cry G. A. Webb |

So few words but so passion filled and moving. Bravo ![]() Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

g.a.: very powerful piece... i dont know if you meant it this way, but i interpret the poem in conjunction with the title as meaning that seperation from the one you love is equatable to being condemned in Hell... i can identify with this well... thank you for sharing this piece, it stirred my heart... sincerely, jerome the boy with no brain A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! ~Coleridge |

Thank you all very much for what you have said. I'm glad that you liked it. Jerome...I had no idea how powerful this piece was until I had finished it and read it myself. I felt as though it said everything that I wanted it to say and to lengthen it by even one more word would have been futile. Your interpretation was correct...Thank you. G |
