Hard rain crashs in this dark night A moon as cold as ice reflects off the river The undulating surface creating a myriad of forms Through the low storm filled cloudless street I follow the shadows to distances greater I see the ghosts track me yonder All is at peace in the dark of the night I am lost now how i find myself i know not how All is as i am in the long cold nights All alone in thits own dark plight Nowhere see the blue and greens In these grey pre-light scenes I remember it still as it was in my dawn Before I was condemned to wander alone Now it is all i remember till brief dawn When i will hurt once again with noone to mourn How the dread fills me of the bright thankless sun How its power held over me in the sunrise How i long to remember how i long to forget In a twilight of misery my crimes and my lies Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace, of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd |
