THE UNTOUCHABLES We walk in shadow, live by night, The Darkness is our call. Unto gallows of pain and fright, Where one by one, we fall. We walk together, yet alone, Blinded, perhaps, by plight. That every sin we must atone By demonic delight. We feel, we hurt, we taste the shame Others have cast our way. Almost willfully accept the blame Of spiritual decay. Daring a chance to justify, We offer up our soul. Only for Destiny to imply A lack of self-control. We wander lost and decadent Of all we once believed. Every emotion aptly spent On a world, misconceived. Till Time and Distance take their toll, The lesson finally taught. Only in pieces are we whole, And, thus, never forgot. Michael Anderson |

What a mind you have! WOW! "Only in pieces are we whole, And, thus, never forgot." Some are never happy without feeling guilt anger and shame (or without shocking acts of defiance) you captured this well Michael...KUDOS on the meter & rhyme. TA ~haze |

Michael...I haven't replied to any of your posts since I joined a few days ago for I haven't felt my words worthy to be on the same page as yours You're a master of the Art man. I enjoy your work. |

Dreemr, I do not deserve such talk. I am just as you, a poet who knows the darkside of emotion as well as the light. I started this forum because I knew I couldn't be alone in this, although I had always felt that. This poem is a tribute to you and all the poets here in the Dark Forum who have touched me and made this forum a success. You are very worthy to share this page with me, never think otherwise. An excellent work of fine, darkly tuned craftsmanship! You have a wonderful knack at capturing so much of those struggling with being, with darkness and with a vault of emotions. True talent. |

Once again Michael...excellent work here. This poem seemed as though it was coming directly from my own soul...only I probably couldn't have worded it as well. Can't kill a girl for trying though, right? As always, you've managed to turn something dark into a form of beauty and grace. Well done. Yes Micheal, you have done it again. The title alone speaks volumes. In this Darkness, I can say, I do often feel untouchable, unreachable. You have once again captured the feelings and every aspect of this shadowed place in which our broken hearts and souls reside. Simply wonderful! |
